Hi! My name is Yuliia Shapovalova. I am a Ukrainian attorney-at-law, as well as a Trade Mark and Design attorney, with over 15 years of practical experience in intellectual property. I have handled hundreds of projects involving trademarks, patents, and copyright, and have advised companies on protecting their brands, technologies, and innovative businesses.

I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) and am currently continuing my career in the UK as a CITMA Trade Mark Paralegal, so this blog includes practical advice from both Ukrainian and UK practice.

I am also a co-author of the course “Basics of Copyright in the Creative Industries”, created in collaboration with CASES and UANIPO.
